this aint no revolution but it still shouldnt be televised.

Snooki has written a book.

JWOWW has launched a fashion line.

If you don’t know who these people are, good for you! However, you probably have also been living without internet, TV, or outside the confines of the pop culture bubble that is our society today. Whatever the case may be, kudos!

Now, the lovely (gag) members of the popular MTV “reality” show, Jersey Shore, has broadened their horizons to include other ventures. Point to make: I’m not hating. They have gotten themselves whatever fame they could, however shameless it was, and took the opportunity to make some money and do whatever it is they want to do. Good. for. them.

I’m upset because this stuff is apparently “news.” They have made it all over my news feeds, headlines, and favorite blogs than I care for. Fashion blogs and newspapers have talked about JWOWW’s line (albeit in a sarcastic or negative manner but still!) Kim Kardashian apparently matters…I’m appalled at the mention of her being a style icon (yes, tragic, I know).

I have alot of friends who watch the shows and indulge in these guilty pleasures & I dont knock them for doing so. However, I dont appreciate the media blowing up all these stories and egos (of these stars) to make it seem like these people should matter.

I have a dream.

and that’s that these people get their 15 minutes of fame and get the hell out of it.
